Who we are

M M Capital & Research is a specialist firm working at the point where independent analysis meets capital, across natural resources, AI infrastructure, and real estate. We give companies an independent, evidenced view of a project's worth, and we arrange the commercial finance to deliver it. We are an arranger and broker on funding, not a lender, and we are paid for the quality of our work rather than for any particular outcome.

Our model

Two services, one relationship, one discipline applied across every sector. Research and financial analysis that stands up to scrutiny, and arranged capital drawn from a network of lenders and providers. Clients can take either on its own. Most find that together they are stronger.

03Approach

Our approach

We start with the project on its own terms. We assess the asset, the plan, and the economics, and stress the assumptions that matter. Where a project stands up, we structure the case and bring it to the capital best matched to it. Where it does not, we say so early.

Throughout, we draw on analytical tools, including AI-driven models, that are not available to the wider market.

Bret Jackson

Managing Partner

Bret has over 25 years experience in Financial Services, having previously held senior/board level marketing, sales and product roles in investment management, financial advisory and corporate broking.

Over the years, Bret has built excellent relations with senior figures which complement those MMCR operate with . More recently, Bret has been utilising these contacts to successfully raise debt facilities for several lenders and institutions.

Bret is a qualified Financial Adviser and Fund Manager.

Thomas Snape

Partner

Thomas has 10 years of experience in Investment Management and Corporate Finance, serving as Head of Operations and Compliance Oversight for various regulated outfits.

Juan Cucchi

Partner - Research

Juan Ignacio Cucchi works alongside the Partners to evaluate prospective mandates and manage relationships with sophisticated institutional allocators. With an MBA and a Post Graduate qualification in Financial Analysis (AFC), he brings a rigorous, data-driven approach to the firm’s deal-flow assessment and capital-raising efforts.

Juan has managed institutional accounts for prominent hedge funds across the UK, USA, and Canada. Juan leverages this expertise and his multi-lingual skills to facilitate strategic capital deployment.

Tim Wall

Partner

Tim is an experienced professional with a strong background providing corporate advice to emerging companies, with a specific focus on Investor Relations & Capital Markets.

Tim brings experience as a Chairman, Finance Director, CFO, COO & NED serving on a number of boards including ASX & AIM (London) listed companies.

Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant, has graduated from the AICD’s Company Directors Course and AIRA's Diploma of Investor Relations

Dan Maling

Senior Advisory Consultant

Daniel (Dan) is a corporate financier with over 30 years of experience in senior corporate and strategic advisory roles, specialising in the natural resources, energy, and technology sectors. Dan was a founding partner of corporate finance boutique, Orana Corporate LLP, before becoming Managing Director of listed mining investment house, Metals One PLC.

He is a Fellow and Member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and a member of the ICAEW.
